Walking with the Wise

What is respecting your husband?  Why do it and how?  What about if you just don’t agree with him?  These are the questions that I was able to ask Becky in our second podcast together.  Respecting your husband is not something easy to do, but it is foundational to bringing a sense of peace to our homes, and ultimately, we honor God when we respect our husbands as the authority He has placed in our lives.

If you didn’t get to hear the story of how Becky and her husband came to have 14 children you’ll want to listen to that by going to episode #2.

There was a little bit of difficulty with our Skype connection so there are some spots where it is a little difficult to hear.  If you can turn up your volume while your listening that will help.

Respecting Your Husband

We read Ephesians 5:21-33 and focused in on verse 33.  Becky shared how she came into marriage with ideas of how Mark should be, based on how her father was growing up, and how she learned to honor both God and Mark.  Becky shared both consequences and benefits of respecting your husband.

002 Walking with the Wise – Interview with Becky

by shara.anderson on March 21, 2012

I was able to sit down (via Skype) with Becky who is a friend and mentor.  She is married to Mark, and is a mother of 14 beautiful children.  Grab a cup of coffee and listen to how Mark and Becky were very clearly led to surrender the size of their family to God.

February 13, 2012
